Atlas-Copco-Nitrogen-NGP

Food preservation has come a long way from the days of smoking, salting, curing and canning. Today, nitrogen gas is a critical element in many industries, from chemical manufacturing and electronics to laser cutting and food preservation and packaging. As an essential part of modified atmospheres– the combination of gases inside food packaging that helps prolong shelf life – nitrogen gas helps keep food costs down while ensuring more people have access to fresh food.

When combined with our innovative and energy efficient compressors, on-site nitrogen generation can offer significant benefits compared to bulk nitrogen delivery. On-site industrial gas generators offer a more sustainable and cost-efficient solution by eliminating the need for transport, handling and administrative costs while increasing productivity and lowering energy consumption.

Introducing New NGP+ On-Site Nitrogen Generators with PSA Technology

We recently launched the next generation of NGP+ on-site nitrogen generators with pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology that produces nitrogen with purities of up to 99.999 percent while reducing energy consumption by 50 percent when integrated with an energy-efficient compressed air network. The NGP+ can be plugged directly into an existing compressed air installation and offers an independent, reliable and flexible supply of nitrogen gas.

Other features include:

  • Flows from 200 scfh to 21,860 scfh;
  • High quality carbon molecular sieves that adsorb more oxygen for the same input of compressed air compared to standard installations;
  • Sensors that easily adjust the nitrogen purity and pressure; and
  • Remote monitoring technology that ensures reliability and optimizes energy efficiency.

Generate Your Own Nitrogen Gas and Save up to 80%

Depending on current liquid nitrogen market prices, manufacturers can trim costs anywhere between 40 percent and 80 percent when shifting to on-site nitrogen generation.
